Guys, I’m about to give you the skinny on these Oreo Pancakes. They’re basically the definition of a perfect morning, piled high with a creamy filling and packed with happiness in every bite.
LOL okay, I feel like I was just reciting lines for a commercial or something, but that was totally unintentional. These pancakes definitely don’t need a sales pitch…they scream awesome all by themselves! I mean…just look at that stack of creamy, chocolaty nomness. I literally want to dive in face first….oh wait, already did. 😛
You know what? Oreos are sneaky little things. I don’t even know why there is a serving size on the back of the package when let’s be real, who eats 3 Oreos?! I can definitely demolish the entire middle row within one episode of Modern Family and still somehow find my fingers wondering their way to the next row. This, you guys.. is why I’ve been very intentional about not having Oreos in the house at all. I cannot be trusted.
This was all good and well, until my friend asked if I could make an Oreo cake for her daughter’s birthday. A double chocolate fudge cake with Oreo whipped filling, topped with crushed Oreos and more whipped greatness. It. Was. SO GOOD. So good, that I ended up making another cake for my friend’s daughter…but this time even bigger. THEN, my friend’s neighbor (one of the amazing ladies that I nanny for) managed to sneak a bite and well…I ended up making her family an entire Oreo cake too.
You guys, I made 3 Oreo supreme cakes in 1 week.
Surprisingly, out of all 3 cakes, I only ate a total of ONE medium-ish sized slice. The Oreo cravings, however, were NOT tamed. Soooo in a quest to get my healthier Oreo fix, I made Skinny Oreo Pancakes. I used Cool Whip Lite for the filling which came together perfectly. All in all, each serving is under 200 calories. You guys, YOU GUYS, 15 minutes is the only thing between you and a stack of guilt free deliciousness. Go get ’em tiger.
